CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR: Assessment of Monitoring and Evaluation Systems & Water Indicators for 6 Countries and 4 Transboundary Basins (Project ID No.:P-Z1-EAZ-027)

  • The Centre for Environment & Development for the Arab Region & Europe (CEDARE) has received a grant No.5600155002351 from the African Water Facility (AWF) Hosted and administrated by the African Development Bank) to execute the (MEWINA) Project under the auspices of the North – African Ministers Council on Water (N-AMCOW), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount of this grant to payments under the contract for Assessment of Monitoring and Evaluation Systems & Water Indicators for 6 Countries and 4 Transboundary Basins.
  • The services included under this project includes the Assessment of existing M&E Systems & Water Indicators, for the six selected countries (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia).  The Assessment that will use the M&E Rapid Assessment Methodology and Template developed by the Africa Water Facility provides the countries and basins with an independent assessment of their M & E systems. The assignment will be conducted in four months.
  • CEDARE now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments - experience in Integrated Water Resources Management, Water M&E systems, preparation and/or review of national or regional water resources plans, assessments on water quality and quantity, services especially for water supply and sanitation, irrigation activities, and/or other relevant areas, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff..etc). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
  • Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants”, May 2008, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. CEDARE is under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest.

  • Expressions of Interest (EOI) must be delivered in English to the address below by 2 February at 4:00 pm, and should mention Assessment of M & E Systems & Water Indicators in North Africa.
